Racing for a Sustainable Future: Support ASHRAE’s Mission!

As an HVAC engineer, ski racer, and mother, Andreea Manoiu is passionate about sustainability and climate action. She understands firsthand the impact of climate change on our built environment and daily lives. That’s why she is raising £500 to support the ASHRAE UK Chapter, an organization dedicated to advancing research in sustainable and Net Zero technologies.
Why ASHRAE? ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) is at the forefront of developing solutions for energy efficiency, building sustainability, and climate resilience. Their work helps shape policies, improve building standards, and promote environmentally responsible practices in HVAC and construction industries worldwide.
How is Andreea supporting ASHRAE? She is dedicating her ski races on dry slopes in the UK to this cause. Her first race of the season will be on Saturday, 29th March, at the Brentwood dry slope, where she will compete in the Masters Female category as part of the Essex Ski Racing Club Race.
